Warkworth Community Service Club 2009 Photography Contest

The calendar, which features advertising by local merchants, sells for $10 and is a fundraiser for the service club. It is unique in that it lists the birthday or anniversary of the purchasers as well as the majority of events in Warkworth.
Now you have a chance to take home the $100 prize for the winning photograph!
The Warkworth Community Service Club is seeking an image which best captures any of the many community events which take place in Warkworth (Percy Ward). Get out your camera and send us your best shots of people enjoying the Maple Syrup Festival, the Long Lunch, the Rodeo, The Donnybrook or any one of the many community events which take place in our community.
You may enter up to twelve images per person and the contest is open to everyone. Entries must be submitted by August 23, 2009
Contest Rules:
- Photos must have been taken between January 1, 2008 and the close of competition, August 23, 2009.
- You do not have to be a member of the Warkworth Community Service Club to enter. Anybody may enter up to twelve different images.
- Photos featuring the general public will not require a model release. If however, the photograph features one person prominently, that person's permission is required in the form of a model release (see attached). Signature by a parent or guardian is required for both photographer and models who are under 18 years of age.
- All photos submitted become the property of the Warkworth Community Service Club, and will not be returned.
- Images should be submitted on disc in digital format no larger that 4MB per image. Each digital image must be at least 1600 pixels wide; only horizontal formatted (i.e. landscape format) images will be accepted.
- Awarding of the prize will be at the sole discretion of the judges and their ruling is final. The judges reserve the right to withhold any award in the event that no entries qualify or are not deemed suitable for the purposes of the competition.
- By entering, participants release and hold harmless the Warkworth Community Service Club from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the contest.
