Olde Tyme Village Lantern Walk

Saturday December 13, 2008 7 Pm, Warkworth Town Hall Centre for the Arts

For the 16th year, you are invited to participate in one of Warkworth's most delightful events. Candles and lanterns will be lit at the Warkworth Town Hall Centre for the Arts and the Walk will start at 7:00 p.m.

Overhead, the stars will be twinkling and a crescent moon will welcome all. With carolling books in hand, mittens and scarves keeping everyone warm, a short walk through the Village will herald the holiday season.

Returning to the Hall, the scents of warm cider, cinnamon and cedar mingle in the senses as Queen Victoria in all her regal splendor gazes down on the festivities. Settle in with a cookie made with an authentic turn-of- the century recipe and warm up with a cup of cider. Master of Ceremonies, Paul Dalby, will then introduce you to performances from local gentry and children of the Village. There will be humour, enchanting songs, readings and musical performances! A donation to the Food Bank is welcomed. Candles and song books supplied. Come one, come all--embrace the season.

Wrap yourself up in the warmth of an enchanted evening at the Warkworth Olde Tyme Village Lantern Walk.
